Where and when was I born?
18th November, 1959 at Camperdown Children's Hospital, N.S.W, Australia

How long have I been dancing?
Apart from childhood jazz ballet classes and at the disco during the 70's and 80's, I haven't danced until I started ATS classes with Devi in Feb 2000.

What appeals to me about Tribal?
I love the earthy, female spirit it encourages, and the fact that I'm a larger woman, Tribal creates within myself, a strength and proudness that respects my body. I also enjoy making our costumes with our own "personal journey" added.

What do I do for a crust?
I am a Mother of 3, have a partner Kris, and work part-time as a Veterinary Nurse. I am also Ghawazi Caravan's administrator/promotor.

Do I have any unusual talents?
None that do Ghawazi Caravan justice to be printed!

What other hobbies?
I paint signs, do calligraphy, read fantasy novels, dance with my daughter, cook, learn about Celtic/Egyptian history (God's & Goddesses).

If Tribal is my current passion, what was my previous passion?
Helping women overcome Post Natal Depression as a facilitator in a PND Support group for 8 years following my own depression after the birth of my first child in 1984.

What is my personal life like?
Generally busy with family commitments, work and dance. My partner Kris and I try to catch time together when we can and have some time out watching videos. We have lots of friends and our week-ends are usually full. Kris is also Ghawazi Caravan's roadie, chauffeur, and back stage manager.

What inspired me?
Loreena McKennitt's music, J.W. Waterhouse paintings, and disco dancing... plus my friend Louise dragging me to my 1st class with Devi.

Where do I see myself and Ghawazi Caravan in the future?
Working full-time as Ghawazi Caravan's promotional manager and dancing until I feel one takes over the other. Keeping the friendships and maintaining the sisterhood that has been created. Performing for many Festivals, Carnivals, friends and family and enjoying life.
