WHAT TO WEAR
Belly dance is an active and muscular dance and a great form of exercise. Classes involve a warm up and cool down; therefore it is important to be dressed appropriately.
- *Please wear something fitted or loose and really comfortable, similar to gym attire. We want YOU to be comfortable in class. There are no set rules to revealing or hiding your belly for adult classes.
- * Bare feet or jiffy type slippers.
- *You can wear a hip scarf or coin belt for accenting hip movements if you so desire.
- *For juniors any black Tshirt or singlet and full black skirt and pantaloons (harem pants) will be used for performances. Please no exposed bellies for juniors.
- *Please NO jeans, school uniforms, non stretch pants, and tight skirts. These are just too restrictive.
WHAT TO BRING
- * A dance bag is ideal, this way items won't be forgotten for class.
- * A water bottle, pen and paper.
- * Intermediate and juniors please bring zills (finger
cymbals).
- * Veil for juniors.
- * A veil is optional for adult classes as we may
use one for warm up from time to time.
