Where and when were you born?Alex
I was born in Sydney on the 8/8/88, and have lived in the Blue Mountains my whole life.

What do you do for a living?
I work in a cafe in Wentworth Falls, and am studying Animal Studies and Vet Nursing at Tafe.

How long have you been dancing and what other styles of dancing have you done?

I did some Ballet when I was really little, all I can remember though is wearing a clown costume and leap-frogging over people on stage. Since then I've done a little bit of Jazz and Hip Hop and towards the beginning of 2006 I started Oriental style belly dance with Cathie Gorman.

How long have you been doing Tribal style??
I started Tribal in the last term of 2006...and havn't looked back!

What appeals to you about Tribal?
The first thing that appealed to me was definately the fabulous costumes and jewellery, the big skirts and the massive earrings! I also love the strength and posture that all the movements have and the beautiful arms and hands. Everyone in the tribal community is so nice and supportive and I've made a lot of great friends. I love the way it brings everyone together.

If Tribal is your current passion, what was your previous passion?
Dance dance dance!! I also love drawing, making things out of other things, sewing clothes and bits and pieces, and have recently started African dance and am loving it!!!

Where do you see yourself and Ghawazi Caravan in the future?
I'd like to challenge myself to more new things and see myself improve. I'd also love to have as much fun dancing and performing with all the girls!
